We all have fears that hold us back from achieving our goals. Let's address a few really common fears about Health Coaching.
Fear #1 - “I won’t get the results promised.”
It seems like everybody and their aunt has something to say about our health & what we should be doing to stay healthy. While I have no problem with sharing personal health journeys online, it gets problematic when persons are sharing information as medical facts when it’s actually only their experience.
So why are we any different? Well, if you’ve ever seen our social media you will know that we don’t believe in making blanket recommendations when it comes to health. Everyone is unique, fearfully and wonderfully made. At The Kalá Co. we specialize in a personalized approach that takes into consideration your health history, your nutrient needs, your lifestyle, stress, mental health, goals & so much more.
There is one caveat. Coaching doesn’t work unless you do. That means that no amount of coaching will get you to your goals if you aren’t prepared to make the suggested changes and put in the work for your own ultimate health. Fear #2 - “It will cost an arm and a leg…if not two” I know this by firsthand experience. When I was struggling with endless cyclical depression & hormonal imbalances, not to mention excruciatingly painful periods, I ran out of options. I’d tried hormone pills & antidepressants. I’d tried researching “healthy” options to easy my symptoms only to discover such a whirlwind of “this and that MIGHT help”… Well okay Google but I need to know what WILL help…not might… Our Mission is to make holistic health accessible in the Caribbean. Fear #3 - “I won’t be able to implement the advice ”
We all have had the experience of seeing some awesome advice online and making a mental note to implement it. 2 minutes later? That mental note is drowned in 200 more mental notes and chances are you never think about it again. But the facts remain that it doesn’t help anyone if it isn’t implemented. We can know all the right things, but without the practical steps it just doesn’t work.
Our Approach: Sure, health coaching isn’t for you if you aren’t prepared to make some changes to your lifestyle. However, we specialize in a personalized approach that focuses on making the suggested changes fit into your lifestyle.
If you don’t have time to eat breakfast, let’s troubleshoot that! Maybe you can have a handful of nuts before you leave home & have a full breakfast later. Maybe we can find some breakfast prep that makes it super easy for you to grab n go. Struggle to remember taking your vitamins? Let’s get you a pill box to organize at the beginning of the week & set some reminder alarms on your phone.
